Getaway to Zion National Park!

Most of us of love to travel. It helps us escape reality and life's stresses and experience something new. Unfortunately, it can be very costly, and sometimes take a financial toll on us. Thankfully, they are places to go such as Zion National Park in Utah which are beautiful and more budget-friendly. 

Zion National Park is approximately a 2.5-3 hour drive from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. You can also take a short flight from Las Vegas to St. George if the drive is too long to your liking, however, the red rocks and scenery along the route are simply breathtaking.

When traveling it is important to be comfortable, but it is always nice to look stylish as well. To do so, I wore the cozy Velvet Heart Carmina Pink Jacket and Rena Black Top.      

There are many options for places to stay when visiting Zion National Park, including glamping sites, budget-friendly hotels, campgrounds, and townhomes. Unless you are going camping, most hotels and townhomes are located in either St. George or Washington, Utah, which is about 40 minutes to an hour away from the park. 

We stayed in a beautiful, spacious townhome in Washington, Utah that was big enough  for my family of five.

There are great and inexpensive restaurants inside Zion National Park, however, many eateries outside the park are chains. If you are staying in a place with a kitchen, it may be a better option to go grocery shopping and prepare your own food. If you do opt to stay in nearby St. George, you can find a number of good places to eat.

If it's hiking you love, Zion National Park has hiking trails of various difficulties and some are even handicap-accessible, so hiking is suitable for people of all ages. As I was traveling with some older family members, we hiked the Pa’rus Trail, which is completely paved and offered breathtaking views. It is perfect for biking as well!    

Aside from hiking, you can go horseback riding, star gazing, boating in the Virgin River, bird watching, and rock climbing in the beautiful southern Utah landscape! If you are ready for an adventure, a trip to Zion National Park is great one to add on your bucket list!
